Rooted in Udaipur, a city that has always been home, the brand was nurtured with a deep focus on surface developments and easier silhouettes that embrace both comfort and grace. In this ongoing journey, we are still shaping our design language, circling around the values of sustainability, handcraft, and conscious creation.

‘Medhavi’ means wise, a name that reflects the thoughtfulness with which each piece is imagined, while Udaipur grounds us in our origins, in a city known for its artisanal legacy and timeless beauty. Every collection, every garment, and every small detail is deeply tied to the community of artisans and makers who form the soul of our work.

At the heart of Medhavi Udaipur lies a love for textiles. We work with handloom cottons, linens, and upcycled fabrics sourced from artisans across India, while also experimenting with surface development techniques like eco-printing, tie-dye, and embroidery. Our textiles carry the stories of the hands that make them whether they come from grassroots weavers or women artisans working from their homes.

Each Medhavi creation is not just a garment but a reflection of Udaipur’s artisanal spirit. Whether it is a carefully upcycled piece of fabric turned into a timeless silhouette, or hand-finished details done by local women artisan, our products celebrate community and craftsmanship. Every piece is handcrafted in small batches, ensuring uniqueness and reducing excess.

Practices

While our design language is still evolving, our ethics are not negotiable. Every artisan, weaver, and karigar we work with is offered fair pay and freedom to create at their own pace. Our supply chain thrives on collaborations with local craftspeople, NGOs, and cooperatives that value fair trade. We produce in small runs, avoiding overproduction and excess stock, and consciously work with pre-existing fabrics and deadstock to lower our carbon footprint.
